Maybe it’s the lush gardens, the narrow streets with their centenary trees, or our organized disorder, but since its foundation Coconut Grove has been the home of many well known artists. Our neighborhood is fortunate to call many of them neighbors dedicated to the many different expressions of art.
Isabelle and I always try to communicate the uniqueness of Coconut Grove. Our recent encounter with one of these Grove artists, Phil Stapleton, marked the launch of our decision to create a new page on our website, a venue dedicated to allowing artists to show their art, inspired by Coconut Grove. When we asked Phil ‘Why the Grove?’ his immediate answer was, “If I were not living in the Grove, I would not be living in Florida! Here I have found inspiration for my art every day for more than 20 years.”
